Media Instructor Learns All Things Disney ORU media instructor Cristi Freudenrich received a scholarship from the International Radio and Television Society Foundation, Inc. to attend the Disney/ABC Television Group's Impact Summit at Disney Channels Worldwide in Burbank, Calif. The Summit was hosted by key Disney executives who shared research, marketing, creative and talent recruitment strategies for its parks, TV, radio, licensing, movies, interactive and global properties. Following the Summit, Freudenrich co-led a conference session, "Targeting Your Demographic--Focus on Radio Disney" with Candace Walton, assistant professor at the University of South Dakota, and Judy Oskam, associate professor at Texas State University, at the National College Media Convention in Austin. The Radio Disney model served as the framework for discussions on college radio formats, programming, promotions, advertising and media convergence.
